Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division(Hexagon) is seeking a Principal Software Consultant.

 

As an Analysis Senior Software Consultant in support, you will be responsible for supporting Hexagon customers that use PIPESTRESS (PepS) product. Additionally, you will have to learn PIPESTRESS (PepS) as a Trainer and provide internal and external pieces of training as required globally. We have pressure vessel, tank, and structure analysis software that you could become familiar with. Hexagon Analysis software products are leaders in the industry and have thousands of users around the world. Your passion for helping users is key as expectations for addressing their issues promptly are important to leave them with a positive customer experience.

 

Support Engineers for our Pipe stress software(s) are typically Mechanical engineers with field experience. A typical workday will include troubleshooting and resolving technically complex customer issues, documenting software enhancements to improve user workflows, answering users' questions from their pipe stress analysis, and developing technical documents.

  • Frequently interacting with customers.
  • Mentorship of less experienced support analysts.
  • Learn PIPESTRESS (PepS) as a Trainer.
  • Prepare content/videos for internal and external pieces of training.
  • Solutions to meet the technological needs of support analysts and users.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technically complex support issues.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of ASME and other international codes & standards.
  • Interacts with solution development and product ownership teams to give feedback, document design issues, and investigate problems.
  • Work as a 2nd level support and deal with escalations from external resellers.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of the organization's products and/or services.
  • Prepares knowledge-based technical articles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with appropriate experience in piping design and stress analysis.
  • 7+ years of field experience in the design and analysis of process and/or power piping systems.
  • Experience with PIPESTRESS (PepS) is mandatory.
  • Nuclear Industry knowledge/experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ASME Section III analysis including subsections NB, NC & ND.
  • ASME Section III Class 1 experience.
  • Experience with CAESAR II, AutoPipe, Rohor2, TRIFLEX, or similar Pipe Stress Analysis software is a plus but not required.
  • Experience using other Analysis software such as GT STRUDL, STAAD, PV Elite, or COMPRESS is a plus but not required.
  • A master’s degree and/or professional registration are a plus but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
