Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division(Hexagon) is seeking a Senior Software Developer.

 

Join our team of developers working on software deployed on the world’s largest engineering projects. We are looking for new recruits to help us as we transform our desktop-based solutions into a cloud-native SaaS platform to support the next generation of our business. We expect your experience will help us apply the best development practice and you will have opportunities to learn and apply new skills.

 

 

The right candidate will have responsibility for the delivery of high quality, release ready software components. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of our agile development process, including but not limited to backlog management, detailed design and implementation, automated testing, documentation, and deployment. The role requires collaboration with multi-discipline teams around the world, plus assistance to the Alias support team with investigation of customer problems.

Qualifications

Essential:

 

  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science or similar technical subject.
  • Strong mathematical / engineering background.
  • C# / .NET Framework.
  • Windows desktop development experience.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for software development.
  • Good communication, team working and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with scrum or other agile development processes.
  • Unit testing and other automated testing techniques.

 

Desirable:

 

  • C++ development experience.
  • Azure and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
  • WPF using an MVVM architecture.
  • Development and support of Microsoft COM based applications.
  • Experience with CAD or engineering applications.
  • Experience creating REST APIs using ASP.NET.
  • React and Typescript for frontend development.
