Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior Automation Lead with PowerShell or Puppet.

 

As our Senior Automation Lead you will be an integral member of the Smart Cloud Automation team and key to ensuring on-time and quality project delivery. You'll support other team members and management, and will work on a variety of projects including design, development and testing of automation solutions for Hexagon Smart applications.

 

You'll focus primarily on working to help automate Smart Cloud application and infrastructure configurations, as well as automation of application upgrade tasks and maintenance workflows.

 

Day to day you will:

 

  • Develop and Test Puppet Enterprise Modules.
  • Develop PowerShell or Ruby scripts.
  • Develop Terraform modules for Infra-as-Code provisioning.
  • Write clear, concise documentation & efficient code.
  • Liaise with infrastructure engineers and application developers on a variety of automation workflows.
  • Participate in R&D efforts to improve methods, toolsets and processes used by the automation team.
  • Support and troubleshoot code throughout its lifecycle from Development to Production.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar Automation Development or DevOps role.
  • Strong Experience with Puppet Configuration Management.
  • Strong Experience with PowerShell and/or Ruby scripting languages.
  • Strong Experience with Azure Services.
  • Experience with Terraform Enterprise or Terraform Cloud for infra provision.
  • Experience with Azure Devops pipelines and YAML templates.
  • Knowledge of Chocolatey/NuGet packaging technologies.
